Help Expand Access to ABA Therapy Nationwide
Butterfly Effects is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Real Estate Development to lead the expansion of our ABA therapy centers across the country. In this high-impact role, you will drive our real estate strategy from site selection through to facility readiness, ensuring that more families have access to the life-changing care.
This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in commercial real estate, lease negotiation, and site development, ideally in healthcare, education, or multi-site service sectors.
This position is based on our Deerfield Beach Headquarter and will require travel to multiple states
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a nationwide real estate strategy that aligns with Butterfly Effects' growth objectives and mission.
- Identify and assess prospective sites for new ABA centers using market data, demographic trends, and accessibility factors.
- Lead lease negotiations to secure cost-effective and scalable agreements.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of site development collaborating with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely openings.
- Maintain relationships with landlords, brokers, and partners to streamline transactions and long-term operations.
- Ensure all properties meet zoning, licensing, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Optimize the current real estate portfolio through proactive lease management, relocations, and space utilization.
- Build and manage real estate systems, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
- Partner with operations, finance, and clinical teams to ensure that real estate decisions support service delivery and family access.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in real estate strategy, site development, and lease negotiation-preferably in healthcare, education, or multi-location services.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate, zoning, and regulatory compliance.
- A proven track record of managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Strong financial acumen and experience analyzing market and site feasibility.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
