We're seeking a Vice President of Operations Process Improvement to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, process standardization, and cultural transformation at ABA Centers of America (Inc. Magazine's fifth fastest growing private company, 2024). This role focuses on reducing variation in operational processes and improving the client experience through thoughtful system design and a robust culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Process Standardization and Optimization
- Lead the effort to reduce process variation across the organization by coaching process owners in designing and deploying standardized workflows.
- Ensure all process designs are informed by the Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Team, and Voice of the Business, resulting in balanced, sustainable improvements.
- Partner with the Talent Development team to roll out training programs that effectively embed standard work across teams.
- Process Improvement
- Collaborate with Leadership Development and operational leaders to monitor the performance of standard processes in daily operations.
- Identify barriers to executing standard work and lead structured problem-solving efforts to address system-level issues.
- Build and maintain feedback loops with frontline staff to surface improvement ideas and engage teams in ongoing kaizen efforts.
- Strategic Project Leadership
- Lead a small team of project managers to facilitate high-impact, cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Focus project portfolio on improving client experience, particularly in areas where service flows across multiple vertical siloes.
- Apply performance improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and human-centered design to drive lasting change.
- Culture Building
- Champion the development of mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets related to continuous improvement across the organization.
- Serve as an internal coach, facilitator, and thought leader to embed performance improvement practices at all levels.
- Collaborate with HR, Talent Development, and senior leaders to align improvement capabilities with leadership development pathways.
Requirements
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Kaizen and/or Human-Centered Design methodologies.
- Background in leadership or talent development is advantageous.
- 10+ years of experience in performance improvement, process design, or operational leadership (preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services).
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation or change initiatives.
- Strong ability to coach and influence senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and frontline staff.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
