Achievement Behavior Services is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency. At the leadership of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) we have been learning and growing as an ABA agency since 2015. Presently, we are seeking ABA Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to join our network of dedicated ABA professionals, to provide direct ABA services to children with ASD, in collaboration with one of our many esteemed Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBAs). We are looking for dedicated and compassionate BTs to commit to one of our clients for ABA Therapy sessions on a regular, weekly schedule. In this role, you will have the support of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) who will supervise your work and guide you through an individualized treatment plan (BIP) with personalized SMART goals to work on independently with the student. You will be collecting data and completing daily session notes in this role. Day-to-day of a Behavior TechnicianMeasure, assess, and document skill acquisition of student's progress on the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)1:1 Goal-oriented, in home, direct service work with a student involving implementation of ABA approaches including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, redirection, reinforcements, and reward-systems.Thorough and comprehensive session-to-session documentation, data analysis, and billing.Actively engaging with clinical direction and professional feedback from BCBA supervisor(s)Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients or students, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkersExpectations of a Behavior Technician:Study patient behavior and apply ABA principlesRespond appropriately to different situations common among Autism patients and others with behavioral and developmental challengesUtilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to patientsEffectively communicate positive feedback to patientsBe able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in patient behaviors.Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniquesKnow how to respond to negative behaviors appropriatelyProvide written documentation on each patient.Taking initiative to actively seek clinical direction from supervisor when support is neededRespectful and consistent communication with all stakeholders including, but not limited to client caregivers and students, supervisors, and coworkersEngaging in bidirectional feedback loops with professional attitudeThe Qualifications of a Behavior Technician:Relevant fields of studies: Special Education, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analytics, or related field of studyPreferred: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardStrong stakeholder communication skills requiredAbility to be adaptable under high-stress situationsExhibits professional administrative reliability: punctuality and responsivenessProven experience working with pre-school and elementary school-aged childrenAdditional evidence of successful work with patients suffering from Autism and development issuesOther experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by NY State.Intuitive, engaging, compassionate, and person-centered approachesProven experience with documenting progress notes and data points aligning with individualized treatment plans and goalsCPR, First Aid, AED Certification is REQUIRED for all Center Based CasesTHIS ROLE IS PART-TIME AFTER SCHOOL; there is potential for weekend hours, as well.If you are interested in becoming a Behavior Technician with Achievement Behavior Services, then click APPLY or call one of our recruiters at 516-229-1194 Ext 219.
