Schedule: Full-Time, Hourly Paid, Hybrid-Role
About the Role and What You'll Do:
As a member of the BI Team, the Payroll Clerk is part of the Human Resources Team. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for various aspects of payroll, such as processing bi-weekly payroll. This position involves entering, maintaining, and processing a wide range of employee information in the payroll system, including hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, time worked, paid leave, holidays, deductions, and address changes. The Payroll Clerk ensures the accurate processing of payroll deductions related to taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other withholdings.
- Review employee time records for accuracy prior to payroll completion.
- Respond and resolve team member questions regarding payroll.
- Complete verification of employment for current and past employees as requested.
- Responsibilities include a combination of payroll, benefits, and clerical duties.
- Daily/weekly reports, payment processing, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, and special projects as assigned.
- Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Performs basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each payroll cycle.
- Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.
- Performs Other Duties as Assigned.

- Must be highly accurate and detail-oriented.
- Good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
- Trustworthy with strong attention to confidentiality.
- Must be good at problem solving, while also staying organized and fuocused.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in payroll required.
- BS/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Outstanding organizational ability and attention to all the details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
