Overview
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for helping plan and deliver the daily functions of the HR Department. The HR Generalist must have a strong understanding of various HR functions, including, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and HR policies.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Supports personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Helps design and implement new HR initiatives and process improvements.
- Conducts data analysis to inform decisions and measure impact.
- Leads change management initiatives to support new HR programs.
- Responds to human resources-related inquiries.
- Conducts exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary. In addition, monitor employee morale and company culture through exit interview processes and consistent communication.
- Maintains employee personnel records.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 5+ years human resources experience
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems, ADP
- Familiarity with Maryland Unemployment and Labor Laws
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
- Knowledge and implementation of OSHA regulations and compliance
Preferred
- Healthcare experience
- Proficiency with Google Suites
- Prior healthcare/clinical experience
- PHR or SPHR certification
- Local to DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia)
Salary Range
USD $60,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
