Overview
The Head of Human Resources is a critical member of the administrative leadership team, responsible for delivering HR programs and services that support organizational performance, culture, and workforce capability. This role partners directly with executive and operational leaders to implement people solutions that meet business needs, while overseeing core HR functions such as organizational development, workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, talent development, and change management.
The Head of HR ensures the consistent execution of HR policies and processes, builds a responsive HR infrastructure, and leads a high-performing team that supports leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to align HR operations and programs with short- and mid-term business priorities.
- Lead the delivery of HR services across all business units, ensuring consistency, compliance, and responsiveness to internal client needs.
- Implement initiatives that enhance culture, support employee well-being, and improve engagement and retention.
- Translate long-term workforce plans into actionable hiring, training, and organizational development programs.
- Coordinate the execution of change management plans, including communication, training, and feedback loops for cross-functional initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, policy enforcement, and issue resolution.
- Oversee performance management and development programs that promote accountability, professional growth, and internal mobility.
- Analyze employee engagement data and partner with department heads to drive targeted action plans.
- Supervise HR team members and functional leads in areas such as DEI, compliance, and workforce analytics.
- Improve HR operations through process documentation, system improvements, and data-driven decision-making.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of HR systems and tools that support a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions and ensure HR risk management protocols are followed.Act as a liaison with legal counsel and compliance leaders on investigations, regulatory inquiries, and workforce audits.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Proven track record of executing HR programs in a multi-state or distributed organization
- Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, biotech, education, manufacturing)
- Expertise in employee relations, workforce compliance, and HR operations
Preferred
- Master’s degree (MBA or HR-related) is strongly preferred
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification

Salary Range
USD $130,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.
