The
Regional Director is responsible for the leadership, operational management, and strategic oversight of multiple
Gersh Autism school locations within an assigned region. This senior-level role ensures that each school maintains the highest standards of special education services, compliance, staff development, financial stewardship, and student outcomes. The Regional Director will drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and operational oversight for multiple school sites within the assigned region.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local special education laws, regulations, and Gersh Autism policies.
- Provide guidance and support to school building leaders to ensure positive culture and climate, academic programs are delivered with rigor and fidelity.
- Oversee budget development, financial performance, and resource allocation for each location.
- Accountability by tracking the region's educational performance and progress towards goals, using data to inform decision and adjustments.
- Lead initiatives to improve student outcomes, family engagement, and overall program effectiveness.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and retention of school leadership and staff.
- Regularly visit each site to assess operations, provide coaching to school leaders, and ensure a consistent Gersh Autism experience across all locations.
- Serve as a primary liaison between schools and the executive leadership team.
- Facilitate regional communication, sharing of best practices, and collaborative problem-solving among sites.
- Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and community partnerships within the region.
- Lead crisis management and resolution efforts as needed.

Qualifications
- Master"s Degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in special education, with a strong background in managing multiple school sites or programs.
- Deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and experience working within autism-focused educational settings.
- Proven experience with special education compliance, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing school budgets and resources.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including families, staff, and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel regularly within the region.

Salary range is $160,000-$190,000 depending on experience and certifications
