Career Design & Development Services offers onsite & offsite Individualized Skills and Socialization to individuals with developmental disabilities. The program supports individuals by providing support and training to help them develop daily living skills, social skills, and independence by implementing individualized plans that focus on each person's unique needs and goals. The ISS Program Supervisor ensures smooth operations of the program by providing training and mentorship to the Rehabilitation Specialists to ensure excellent service support and safe, creative opportunities are the experience of the program attendees. The Supervisor’s responsibilities also include assisting with personal care, facilitating learning activities, transporting individuals throughout the community for events and activities, monitoring safety, and documenting progress.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, coaching, training, supervision and performance management of Rehab Specialists.
- Maintain company and program documentation/records.
- Complete and maintain payroll and billing documentation accurately and within designated time frames
- Ensures program meets licensing/survey requirements and contractual compliance.
- Ensure that individuals are assisted (as relevant to the individual) with support of daily living, participating in the community, learning opportunities to support skill development, medication and medical issues when indicated, and frequently interact with people receiving support.
- Assist leadership and marketing with all outreach and marketing.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained and that the support provided meets the expectations of all policies and procedures and complies with all licensing requirements.
- Conduct tours of the program as needed for interested attendees.
- Schedule and organize respite camps and other inclusive events.
- Provide constant supervision of the individuals served to ensure their safety and welfare.
- Identify potential behavior triggers and defuse or redirect them as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.
- Ensures compliance with all Metrocare and HHS contractual policies and procedures.
- Participates in regularly scheduled supervision, team staffing, and unit staff meetings.
- Always wears Metrocare employee badge while on duty.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, required.
- Two (2) years’ experience with demonstrated training or leadership/supervision.

Mathematical Skills
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to work with reports and numbers.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with situations that can vary from day to day.
Computer Skills
- Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain a Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.
- Liability insurance is required if an employee will operate a personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Center’s liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.
