Gersh Autism Academy is dedicated to empowering children on the autism spectrum through individualized education and support. The
School Registrar – PowerSchool & Student Data Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of student records, supporting enrollment processes, compliance reporting, and parent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and maintain student enrollments, withdrawals, and demographic updates in PowerSchool (Enrollment, Attendance, Scheduling, Grading, Special Programs) across the Gersh Autism Academy network.
- Generate and distribute standardized reports (e.g., Daily Attendance, Health Alerts) and support state/district extracts.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure FERPA-compliant handling of records and adherence to IEP deadlines.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and job aids for staff on PowerSchool usage; maintain user guides and SOPs.
- Respond to Tier-1 support tickets within 24 hours; liaise with IT and PowerSchool Administrator on escalated issues.
- Coordinate with educational leadership to align scheduling changes with program needs and special education requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years hands-on experience with PowerSchool SIS in a multi-campus environment.
- Familiarity with K–12 special education compliance (IDEA, IEP processes).
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong customer-service orientation.
Preferred
- PowerSchool certification or formal training.
- Basic SQL or report-writing skills (Data Export Manager).
- Experience with integrations (ParentSquare, CentralReach, Finalsite, ReThinkBH).
- Background in neurodiverse/therapeutic school settings.
Schedule and Availability Expectations
- Schedule must be open to pre-determined campus tour schedules and open houses.
- Travel across campuses and extended availability during peak enrollment periods should be expected.
