We’re seeking a dynamic Residential Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential programs supporting children and adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities. This leader will drive high-quality care, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion a positive, inclusive environment across all homes associated with the May Center School in Randolph, MA.
As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll manage and mentor staff, partner with cross-functional departments, and engage with families to ensure our individuals receive the highest standard of care.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead with Impact: Supervise and mentor Assistant Directors and residential staff to ensure safety, engagement, and consistent support for individuals served.
- Ensure Quality and Compliance: Oversee adherence to EEC regulations, internal standards, and safety protocols; prepare for audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster Collaboration: Partner with clinical, educational, nursing, and facilities teams to maintain safe, therapeutic, and enriching living environments.
- Support Families: Serve as a liaison to families and guardians, ensuring transparent communication and strong relationships.
- Streamline Operations: Manage staffing, training, and scheduling systems; monitor budgets and drive operational efficiency.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Psychology, Special Education, ABA, or related field strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of experience working with individuals with autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (ASD/IDD), including 3+ years in residential program leadership.
- Proven ability to manage teams, build systems, and navigate regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, crisis management, and organizational skills.
