Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. Damar is currently seeking a talented, motivated and detail oriented Morning Cook to join our team! As a Morning Cook, you would prepare meals from scratch and cook items in batches, load food carts, and ensure the kitchen and equipment is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
Shifts Available
- Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm +2 weekends/month (Saturday & Sunday)
- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm +2 weekends/month (Saturday & Sunday)

Remarkable way you will make a difference...
- Have a part in preparing and providing all meals for our clients and staff
- Review and accurately follow meal count information to ensure client safety
- Assist in maintaining the kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner

What You Need To Be Considered...
- Be at least 18
- Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver's license strongly preferred.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment screening and physical.
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal offenses
Essential Job Functions
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 50lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
