Gersh Academy as a part time
L1 Support Technician in this exciting,
project-based temporary role with potential for permanent placement. Based primarily at our Brookly campus, you'll provide essential IT support with a specialty in Level 1 troubleshooting and site build out during our expansion. While your main focus will be Brookly, you'll also travel to other Gersh Academy sites in Queens and Long Island as needed. This role offers a dynamic environment where your IT skills can shine, contributing to our mission of fostering learning and growth in educational settings.
As a
Level 1 Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our staff members. You will diagnose and resolve basic technical issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate IT personnel. The Level 1 Support Specialist will also assist in the maintenance and administration of various IT systems.
- Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to staff members via phone, email, and in-person
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware
- Assist in the documentation and maintenance of IT systems and processes
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate IT personnel
- Assist in managing user accounts and permissions
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer service-oriented mindset
Please note, this is a part-time project-based opportunity in Brooklyn. May require travel to other school locations in Queens and Long Island.
The Pay Range For This Role Is
24 - 25 USD per hour(Brooklyn)
