Behavior Specialist (In-Person)

About the Role:
MIYO Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Specialist to provide in-person support to K–12 students in Clermont, Florida. In this role, you'll help develop and implement behavior intervention strategies, collaborate with educators and families, and play a key role in promoting positive student outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Provide direct and consultative behavioral support to students, teachers, and support staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP development and implementation
- Model effective behavioral strategies and provide coaching to staff
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP or student support meetings
- Respond to student crises and assist with de-escalation techniques when needed
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively
- Use of hands, frequent sitting, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Occasional movement across campus or travel between school sites
- Visual demands include close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Work Environment:
- Exposure to typical school settings, including moderate noise levels
- Occasional outdoor duties with exposure to various weather conditions (heat, humidity, wind, etc.)

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
- BCBA certification preferred (or RBT with relevant school-based experience)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a school setting supporting students with behavioral challenges
- Strong understanding of FBAs, BIPs, and data-driven behavior support
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be available for the 2025–2026 school year and able to work on-site in Clermont, FL
Bonus Skills:
- Experience supporting students with autism or emotional/behavioral disorders
- Familiarity with PBIS frameworks and trauma-informed practices
