We are looking to hire an experienced, professional
School Receptionist to support the needs of our
Gersh Autism Academy school in
Bellevue, WA (our newest location!!!). The
School Receptionist is the first contact point for parents, students and staff and must be able to handle a high volume/high traffic environment with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greets and directs/escorts all visitors to the appropriate department; Expect heavy traffic during summer months
- Answers multi-line telephone and directs all incoming calls to appropriate party promptly and efficiently in a pleasant and professional manner; Expect high call volume
- Handles basic clerical tasks such as filing, typing, photocopying, making labels, mailings (sorting, stamping mail accordingly), as well as maintaining the mail machine
- Handles basic communications - produces and distributes correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Required to understand and provide front line support for all Gersh Organization programs and services
- Manages company’s general voicemail box; proactively maintains and updates company phone list
- Makes deliveries to US Post Office, FedEx and/or UPS if needed.
- Creates flyers using MS Publisher and MS Word
- Acts as liaison with the facilities department on maintenance requests
- Facilitates conference room booking process, assists with scheduling
- Provides support for event preparation, including creation of nametags, mailing campaigns, etc.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- BA/BS preferred
- Administrative and/or customer facing experience required (prior experience in a school or academic setting is a plus!)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in MS Outlook - Possession of strong calendar management skills
- Must be exceedingly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously; follow through on objectives with a sense of immediacy
- Professional and friendly demeanor required
- Ability to remain flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient while under pressure
- Must be a team player
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Working Conditions
- Location: Bellevue, WA
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Occasional before- and after-school work hours at the discretion of the administrative staff.
- Able to handle high volume / high traffic office environment
