The Revenue Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting and improving financial operations across the Revenue Cycle. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who can independently navigate documentation, analyze large data sets, and evaluate operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and drive improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to generate actionable insights and present thoughtful recommendations to senior leadership.
Part Time - 15-20 hours weekly
Hourly Rate: $30-40 DOE and Location
Candidates must reside in one of the following states to be eligible: CA, WA, OR, UT, AZ, TX, CO, TN, IN, GA, FL, SC, NC
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Revenue Operations to analyze and improve workflows across the revenue cycle, with a focus on increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify, recommend, and help implement automation opportunities within the billing and collections process—particularly around patient responsibility collections.
- Manage high-value or complex client relationships (e.g., school districts), ensuring timely, accurate, and fully compliant monthly billing in accordance with each client’s contract, processes, and systems.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of third-party vendors or technology platforms that support revenue cycle activities, including patient billing, follow-up, and payment collections.
- Monitor outstanding balances and trends in patient responsibility to drive targeted outreach or process improvements.
- Support the development of documentation, SOPs, and process maps to streamline internal operations.
- Provide data analysis and reporting on revenue cycle KPIs to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all protected health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Stay current with payer policies, healthcare regulations, and billing compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Have a strong understanding of the end-to-end medical claims lifecycle, including claim submission, payment posting, denials, and patient billing.
- Knowledge of authorization workflows and insurance verification processes preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in healthcare billing, preferably in ABA, behavioral health, or outpatient therapy services. Familiarity with Medicaid is a plus!
- Proficient understanding of medical claims processes, EOBs, CPT/HCPCS coding, and payer requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with strict deadlines and minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with sensitive patient information and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and / or Google Suite Sheets.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred but not required; relevant experience and skills will be considered in lieu of formal education.

- Generally, the incumbent must be able to sit or stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to write, read and interpret documents in the English language such as employee handbooks, training materials and procedure manuals.
- Strong internet connection and professional environment with the ability to utilize video conferencing for long periods of time with limited interruptions.
