About the Role:
We’re seeking a dynamic and compassionate
BCBA with a passion for school-based work to join our growing multidisciplinary team in
Tampa, FL. This is a
unique, full-time role designed to blend
applied behavior analysis with
mental health-informed practices to support students with significant behavioral and/or emotional needs.
The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to working directly with students in elementary or middle school settings. You’ll be embedded within the school community and serve as a key resource to
students, teachers, administrators, and district leadership to drive positive change and improve student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct behavior and therapeutic supports to students demonstrating intensive behavioral or mental health needs.
- Collaborate with school and district teams to implement school-wide behavior and mental health initiatives.
- Provide consultation, coaching, and capacity-building for teachers and staff to strengthen Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports.
- Lead functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and design individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) aligned with trauma-informed practices.
- Support implementation of evidence-based strategies that increase student engagement, reduce disruptive behaviors, and improve school climate.
- Participate in MTSS, IEP, and student support team meetings as a behavioral and mental health subject matter expert.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification in good standing.
- Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
- Additional mental health credential preferred (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, School Psychologist).
- Experience working in school-based settings and/or with youth affected by trauma, emotional/behavioral challenges, or high-needs environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
