INVO is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled
1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized medical care for a student with complex medical needs in a supportive school setting in
Lynn, MA. This position involves accompanying the student throughout the school day, ensuring their safety and well-being, and implementing their individualized health care plan (IHP). The RN will work closely with school staff, the student’s family, and medical providers to support access to education in the least restrictive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, continuous nursing care to one student during the school day, including assistance on the bus if required.
- Administer medications, tube feedings, oxygen therapy, and other prescribed treatments according to the student’s care plan.
- Monitor the student’s vital signs and overall health status throughout the day.
- Respond to medical emergencies and implement emergency protocols as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, medications administered, and any changes in health status.
- Collaborate with the school nurse, teachers, special education staff, and outside healthcare providers.
- Communicate regularly with the student’s parent/guardian regarding health-related concerns.
- Ensure all nursing practices comply with state laws, nursing standards, and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric, school, or home health care.
- CPR and First Aid certification (current and maintained).
- Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tube feedings, seizure protocols, or other specialized pediatric care is preferred.
- Ability to lift and physically support the student as needed (training and support provided).
- Excellent judgment, calm under pressure, and strong communication skills.
