Overview
The Information Technology (IT) Lead is responsible for strategic leadership and hands-on oversight of the organization’s technology infrastructure, Managed Service Provider (MSP), IT solution vendors, and clinic IT operations. This role ensures enterprise and clinic infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable across HHF’s 43 clinics and 1,200 team members. The IT Lead will manage the 2+ other members of the HHF IT team.
Specific Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Operations & Technology Services
- Develop infrastructure roadmap aligned to business growth, scalability, cybersecurity and HIPAA best practice
- Manage performance and optimization of enterprise-wide infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud environments (Azure), storage, and backup systems
- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, governance and budgets to ensure accountability for team members, MSP(s), and vendors
- Ensure uptime and integration of telephony and other systems with clinical operations
- Drive automation to enhance efficiency
- Leadership & Organizational Management
- Lead day-to-day operations of infrastructure and security functions
- Directly supervise team members and oversee MSP and vendor relationships - align priorities with business needs and strategic projects, evaluate performance, delegate work effectively, and ensure appropriate support for enterprise and field operations
- Contribute to the IT budget process with forecasting, cost control, and value-based investments
- Promote a customer service-focused culture with a strong emphasis on collaboration across clinical and administrative teams.
- Strategic Project Execution:
- Drive cross-functional infrastructure initiatives, such as network redesigns, cloud migrations, and office expansions.
- Collaborate with clinical operations, facilities, and executive leadership on technology readiness of clinical sites
- Develop and maintain IT project portfolios for infrastructure, ensuring milestones, budgets, and resources are aligned
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate, implement, and support scalable technologies
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in IT infrastructure, minimum 3 years in leadership roles
- Experience managing enterprise MSPs and third-party vendors is required
- Strong background in managing IT services across distributed field office locations - healthcare or multi-site operations strongly preferred
- CISSP, PMP, or other IT-related certifications are a plus
Skills And Competencies
- Understands IT infrastructure domains: cloud (Azure), network (LAN/WAN), systems (Windows, virtualization), storage, and backup
- Strong MSP oversight and vendor management skills, including selection, implementation, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for technical and clinical
- Able to translate strategic business needs into infrastructure solutions and implementation plans
- In-office 4 days per week (King of Prussia, PA), with travel to clinics as required
Scorecard: The IT Lead will be evaluated on the following measures:
- IT Infrastructure & Vendor Review: Inventory current systems, vendors, and contracts - 1mo from start date
- Project Management Discipline: Introduce project tracking tools, prioritize and sequence vendor implementations - 3mo from start date
- HIPAA Risk Analysis: Conduct a formal assessment (internal or via third party) of potential risks and vulnerabilities to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information - 3mo from start date
- IT Roadmap & Budgeting: Present a 12-18 month IT roadmap aligned with business goals, including budget for infrastructure, security, and staffing needs - 6mo from start date
