Behavioral Therapist responsibilities

Assess client needs and build customized solutions for behavior issues while establishing individual targets and goals
Develop treatment plans based on the patient"s values, goals, and health using comments from the patient"s treatment team and support system
Utilize evidence-based methods to provide group and individual treatment to patients and families
Prepare patient documentation and communicate pertinent clinical information to the patient, referring provider, and treatment team
Conduct phone wellness checks on a regular basis to enquire about behavioral health and medication compliance from patients

Behavioral Therapist Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or equivalent
Current and unrestricted state license as an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) or equivalent
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working in behavioral health
CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills
