We are seeking a strategic, results-driven
Director of Physician Partnerships to lead and oversee our efforts in building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other key stakeholders. This role will involve developing the vision and strategy for physician outreach, while managing a team that is responsible for executing day-to-day outreach activities such as in-person visits, phone calls, event participation, and social media engagement.
The Director will play a critical role in expanding our network of physician partnerships, driving collaboration across departments, and ensuring that our services align with the needs of healthcare providers and their patients. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Oversight:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to build and strengthen partnerships with key healthcare providers including diagnosing doctors, PCPs, specialists (PT, OT, SLP), hospitals, autism groups, and community organizations
- Oversee the execution of outreach programs, ensuring the team is aligned with the organization’s goals and maintaining strong relationships with targeted physician networks
- Identify opportunities to collaborate with providers to address their needs, reduce waitlists, and improve access to services for patients
- Collaborate with the State Director and Intake Coordinator in weekly meetings to evaluate past progress and set actionable goals for the upcoming week
Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise and support the team responsible for in-person doctor visits, phone outreach, event planning, and social media engagement
- Provide guidance and leadership to the team as they manage day-to-day interactions with physicians, ensuring they meet key metrics for outreach, relationship-building, and engagement
- Manage and motivate a team that will conduct weekly phone calls, research new providers, and handle event logistics to increase brand visibility and foster strong relationships
Community & Provider Engagement:
- Oversee and participate in public and private community events aimed at promoting awareness and fostering relationships with physicians and local communities (e.g., Autism Awareness events, youth-focused fundraisers, school and daycare partnerships)
- Direct team members to research and identify new providers, organizations, and communities to engage with
- Manage outreach efforts to local Facebook groups, Instagram, and LinkedIn to foster connections and promote organizational initiatives
Partnership Development:
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key physician partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and mutual benefit
- Regularly review each physician’s or community partner’s current waitlist, needs, and goals to tailor outreach and services accordingly
- Develop talking points and outreach strategies that resonate with different types of providers, ensuring that conversations are relevant, engaging, and lead to meaningful collaborations
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Oversee the coordination and execution of events, including youth-focused community events (e.g., conferences, walks, runs) and private community events (e.g., trunk or treat, petting zoo) that strengthen relationships and brand presence
- Ensure that events align with the organization’s mission and goals, and that the team is well-prepared for each event to engage effectively with attendees
Key Metrics & Reporting:
- Monitor outreach activities and progress, ensuring that outreach goals (e.g., number of doctor visits, phone calls, and events) are being met and exceeded
- Regularly report on team performance, community engagement, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare partnerships, physician relations, or a related field, with proven leadership and team management experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships with healthcare providers, team members, and community stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with social media platforms, community outreach strategies, and event planning
- Ability to travel 25% (one week a month) to engage with providers and attend events
