Achievement Behavior Services is an agency that was founded ten years ago, in 2015, by the joint efforts of dedicated BCBAs and LCSWs. We have a successful history of supporting children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with direct, in-home/in-community ABA therapeutic services. Our approach uses the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to mentor and support these children towards increasing their communication, adaptability, resilience, and independence.
Presently, we are seeking ABA Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to join our network of dedicated ABA professionals, to provide direct ABA services to children with ASD, in collaboration with one of our many esteemed Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBAs). Day-to-day Behavior Technician Tasks: Study patient behavior and apply ABA principlesRespond appropriately to different situations common among Autism patients and others with behavioral and developmental challengesUtilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to patientsEffectively communicate positive feedback to patientsBe able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in patient behaviors.Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniquesKnow how to respond to negative behaviors appropriatelyProvide thorough and accurate written documentation on each student.What we offer:A competitive hourly starting rate (based on qualifications)Flexible PART-TIME schedules: after school & potential for weekendsWork collaboratively with leaders in our ABA Professionals Network.Opportunites to pursue further professional credentials: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)Willing to trainThe Qualifications:Applicable field sof studies in ABA, psychology, education, or related field of studyPreferred: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardStrong stakeholder communication skills requiredAbility to be adaptable under high-stress situationsExhibits professional administrative reliability: punctuality and responsivenessProven experience working with pre-school and elementary school-aged childrenAdditional evidence of successful work with patients suffering from Autism and development issuesOther experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by NY State.Intuitive, engaging, compassionate, and person-centered approachesProven experience with documenting progress notes and data points aligning with individualized treatment plans and goalsPlay Skills
