The
PowerSchool Administrator will manage and optimize our PowerSchool environment across Gersh Autism Academy multiple campuses. This role partners with IT, educators, and compliance teams to drive data integrity, system performance, and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom API integrations and scripts (REST calls, Plug-in code, PowerScripts) between PowerSchool and third-party systems.
- Define and enforce data governance standards; ensure FERPA, HIPAA (if applicable) compliance and manage audit logs and permissions reviews quarterly.
- Track system uptime, response times, and data accuracy metrics; report monthly to leadership.
- Plan and execute PowerSchool upgrade cycles: sandbox testing, change-control documentation, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage and mentor PowerSchool Associate (0.5 FTE); coordinate support and escalation processes.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on PowerSchool administration in a multi-campus configuration.
- Proficiency in SQL, ReportWorks, Data Export Manager, and Custom Pages.
- Project management experience (PMP or Agile certification preferred).
Preferred
- Experience with PowerSchool Plug-ins and custom API development.
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (Ed-Fi, AWS Redshift).
- Experience in clinical or therapeutic school environments.

The Pay Range For This Role Is
90,000 - 120,000 USD per year(Remote)
