Child & Family Development, a well-established multidisciplinary pediatric practice in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Contract Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)/Physician Assistant (PA)/or similarly licensed provider to join our collaborative team.
This position focuses on the evaluation and management of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and emotional concerns.
Our practice includes a team of licensed psychologists, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, BCBAs, RBTs, and educational specialists. We provide comprehensive services to children from birth through adulthood across two office locations, Midtown Charlotte and Pineville.
This is a hybrid position with both dedicated office space and ability to treat patients virtually from home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for children and adolescents with concerns including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, and related conditions.
- Provide medication management, psychoeducation, and coordination of care with other members of the treatment team.
- Collaborate with psychologists and therapists to integrate medical and behavioral interventions.
- Communicate regularly with families, schools, and referring providers as appropriate.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with professional standards and practice policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings as needed.
Requirements:
- Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in North Carolina-Licensed or license-eligible as a Physician’s Assistant (PA) in North Carolina.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably with neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative care model.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in multidisciplinary or integrated care setting.
- Familiarity with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, intellectual disability, learning disorders, and ADHD.
- Interest in long-term collaboration with a growing pediatric-focused team.
