The Invo-Progressus is seeking a passionate and dedicated
Special Education Math Teacher to join our high school team in Philadelphia. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to closing achievement gaps and supporting students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction and strong case management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high school students in urban settings, a deep understanding of special education compliance, and a belief in every student's potential to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction & IEP Implementation
- Develop and deliver standards-aligned math lessons, differentiated to meet students’ IEP goals and diverse learning needs.
- Review, implement, and monitor IEPs—adjusting instruction and accommodations to support student progress.
- Use data-driven assessments to inform instructional modifications and track student outcomes.
Special Education Case Management
- Manage a caseload of 15–20 high school students, including writing, revising, and coordinating IEPs, PBSPs, and transition plans.
- Coordinate and conduct IEP meetings with families, school staff, and LEA representatives.
- Advocate for students’ needs regarding behavior, accommodations, and academic supports.
Collaboration & Professionalism
- Co-plan and co-teach alongside general education math teachers, integrating special education best practices.
- Communicate regularly with general educators, related service providers, and parents to ensure cohesive supports.
- Attend a range of staff meetings, professional development sessions, and student-family events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Math Education, or related field.
- PA certification in Special Education (7–12); Math certification preferred or ability to co-certify.
- Experience working with high school–aged students with disabilities in an urban or charter school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction, accommodations, and intervention strategies.
- Effective classroom management skills paired with a commitment to equity and inclusive practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and comfort with technology for instruction and documentation.
