Administrative Specialist I
Role Responsibilities
The Administrative Specialist I is responsible for providing administrative support to the Division’s Community Access professional and management staff. The Administrative Specialist I, under the supervision of the Community Access Team Leader, will perform clerical tasks required for enrollments, transfers and discharges in the Medicaid waiver programs. Work requires excellent communication and time management skills. Adherence to and promotion of the Texana Compliance Policy. Work hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Required Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Texas Driver License (in good standing)
- 1 year of experience in office setting
- Advance skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
- Bilingual, English/Spanish
Job related Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting (15#- 45#), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15#), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting and twisting
- Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
