The Marion Supported Living is seeking qualified and caring people to work as a Direct Support Professional. Successful applicants will attend paid training to obtain required certifications. No experience is necessary, learn on-the-job.

Responsibilities Include
- Develop and implement individualized case management plan focusing on the identified needs from the clinician’s report.
- Provide required weekly face-to-face visits with each child in the home. This minimum will be completed regardless of any case management or therapeutic activities during the week.
- Assist with developing a budget with family unit to ensure they can meet concrete needs of the household.
- Ensure proper referrals and linkages are made to required services including, but not limited to, mental health services, counseling, tutoring, spiritual, medical, financial, vocational, substance abuse, educational, etc.
- Assist family unit with ensuring essential bills are paid and linkage to funding assistance programs are secured. This includes rent, utilities, transportation, food, pharmacy, day care, etc.
- Ensure that safety standards continue to be met and that family protective measures are intact.
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure safety needs of family unit are addressed 24/7.
- Complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork within guidelines established by Department of Children Services (DCS) and Benchmark.
- Attend all required Benchmark, DCS, and other required external meetings.
- Follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant guidelines regarding communication and paperwork requirements.
- Comply with all standards to ensure the health and safety of all individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from a fully accredited university is preferred or a combination of education and experience that would be suitable for completing the duties of the job. (Professional degrees accepted in the following disciplines: psychology, sociology, mental health, social work, counseling, or any other discipline within human services health field.)
- Child welfare experience
- Five years of case management experience working with families and children
