Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a dynamic Philanthropy Manager to lead community-centered fundraising efforts across Massachusetts. In this newly created role, you’ll develop and implement innovative strategies to grow philanthropic support for our mission—empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to achieve their full potential.
As Philanthropy Manager, you’ll cultivate relationships with families, businesses, and civic organizations and generate revenue through individual giving, events, and corporate partnerships. This is a unique opportunity for a relationship-based fundraiser to make a significant impact in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design and lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy tailored to Massachusetts.
- Build and strengthen relationships with donors, local businesses, and community groups.
- Execute direct response campaigns and small-scale fundraising events.
- Secure corporate support through charitable giving, sponsorship, or in-kind donations.
- Collaborate with local Program and Finance teams to develop fundable opportunities.
- Partner with the Marketing team to capture compelling impact stories.
- Represent Aspire at community events, building visibility and engagement.
- Maintain donor records and track fundraising activities and performance.
- Contribute to annual goal setting, budgeting and revenue forecasting.
- Help foster a culture of philanthropy throughout the Massachusetts team.
Who You Are
- An entrepreneurial self-starter who enjoys building something from the ground up.
- Well-versed in fundraising best practices, with a flexible, adaptive approach.
- A skilled relationship-builder and strong communicator.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
- Deeply committed to ethical fundraising and inclusive community engagement.
What You Bring
- At least 4 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising.
- A proven track record of generating revenue through individual giving, corporate support and events.
- Proficiency with fundraising databases and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with digital fundraising and email marketing platforms (a plus).
- Knowledge of the Massachusetts philanthropic landscape (preferred).
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
