Human Resources (HR) Director – Healthcare

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to provide leadership and can deliver innovative, value-driven services focused on attracting, retaining, engaging, and developing employees. The HR Director supports and promotes the company's mission, vision, and values while making sound operational decisions and continuously enhancing HR services. Is responsible for managing and directing talent acquisition, onboarding, benefit administration, employee engagement, conflict resolution, compensation, policies and procedures, performance management, strategic planning and risk assessment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and healthcare industry standards.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide HR insights on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for clinical, administrative, and support staff.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring of qualified personnel.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Fosters a positive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Addresses employee relations issues with professionalism and in compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Maintains culture and engagement within the organization.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations.
- Is knowledgeable of and proactive with changes in law and regulation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the healthcare market.
- Evaluate and negotiate benefit offerings, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
Training & Development
- Lead efforts in staff training, continuing education, and leadership development programs tailored to the healthcare environment.
- Promote initiatives that support career growth and succession planning.
Performance Management
- Maintains performance appraisal systems that align with organizational goals and promote continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on employee performance, feedback, and disciplinary processes.
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Analyze HR data and trends, produces key performance indicators with insight and planning.
- Monitor workforce metrics such as turnover, engagement, and diversity.
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong preference for previous healthcare experience.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and workforce challenges.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated the ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgment.
- Will require occasional travel between APT clinics.
