We’re seeking a talented, full-time Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to join our school-based services team in Odessa, TX.
Professional License Requirements
Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.
- Hold a Master’s Degree or higher in School Psychology
- Hold current licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP)
What to expect from this role:
- Experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required
- Providing psychological services to students, including counseling, consultation, and intervention
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities
- Participating as a member of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee to support students with psychological and behavioral needs
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Observing students in classroom and other school settings to assess behavior and learning environments
- Administering and interpreting standardized psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Providing crisis intervention and support as needed
- Ensuring all services are performed in accordance with Texas laws and regulations
- Fulfilling other LSSP responsibilities as required by the school or district
