in the room, with the team, every day?
You belong with us.
At The Edinburg Center, we're looking for an HR Generalist who is more than just experienced — we want someone who’s all-in. Someone who shows up, engages with people directly, builds trust in the moment, and makes things happen on the ground.
This is a fully in-person role — and that’s intentional. Because YOU are essential to our people, our mission, and our momentum. Your presence will power everything from employee onboarding to coaching to culture-building.
What You'll Do
- Be the on-site HR go-to — supporting managers and employees in real time
- Manage employee leaves and workers’ compensation with care and compliance
- Support and train staff on our new HRIS/payroll system
- Lead audits and maintain compliance with all labor laws
- Own HR policies, procedures, and handbook updates
- Deliver a top-notch onboarding experience that sets the tone for new hires
- Drive performance management processes: goal setting, feedback, evaluations
- Support benefits programs and open enrollment
- Serve as backup to our payroll administrator — just another superpower
- Develop and lead training initiatives that support staff growth
- Tackle special projects for leadership that keep us moving forward
- Occasionally travel to nearby MA sites (1–2x/month) to keep our teams connected
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in an HR generalist role, preferably with payroll and/or union experience
- Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, LMS, and payroll platforms
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills — you’re a relationship builder
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Confidence managing multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Fluent in Microsoft Office, with bonus points for Teams experience
Why Us?
- Make a Real Impact: Join a nonprofit that’s transforming lives in the community
- Strong Benefits Package: Health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k)
- Generous PTO: Vacation, personal time, sick days, and holidays
- Professional Growth: Tuition reimbursement, certification support, and training opportunities
- Supportive Culture: Work with a team that values collaboration, inclusion, and heart
Location: 100% On-Site in Bedford, MA
