Damar is looking for a talented and motivated Billing and Administrative Specialist to join our team (part-time & full-time) located on the
Northeast side of Indianapolis (Fall Creek).
The Billing and Administrative Specialist will be responsible for the billing, collection, and claim management for Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and Third Party Payers for ABA Services.

- Attends training, staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Establishes and maintains positive and efficient relationships with Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and Third-Party Payers.
- Audits billing notes for accuracy.
- Submits claims to Medicaid, insurance, and other payers.
- Supports the clinical ABA team by obtaining authorization for new and ongoing client services.
- Collects and resolves denials of claims posted for ABA services under the direction of ABA Billing Manager.
- Communicates to the ABA Billing Manager regarding any claims denied, deemed uncollectible, and outstanding receivables.
- Assists with contracting and credentialing, as needed.
- Maintains contact with all payers regarding training on new or changed procedures.
- Maintains clinical records.
- Responds to records requests.
- Accepts payments from clients or caregivers.
What You Need To Be Considered...
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experince required
- Minimum of 3 years accounting or finance experince will be accepted in lieu of a degreeÂ
- Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
