JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of a marketing intern is to support the marketing team in executing various marketing activities, including content creation, social media management, market research, and campaign coordination. They assist in implementing marketing strategies and help analyze the effectiveness of these efforts, gaining hands-on experience in the field while contributing to the company's marketing goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Creation:
- Assist in creating and editing content for various marketing platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters.
- Design graphics and visual content for marketing materials.
Social Media Management:
- Help manage and update company social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X).
- Schedule and post content, respond to comments, and engage with followers.
Market Research:
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences.
- Assist in gathering data for marketing campaigns and strategies.
Campaign Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media ads, and events.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns.
Administrative Support:
- Help with the organization and maintenance of marketing files and databases.
- Assist in coordinating marketing events and promotional activities.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing efforts using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
- Prepare reports summarizing key findings and suggestions for improvement.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team and other departments to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
Customer Engagement:
- Assist in managing customer feedback and inquiries related to marketing campaigns.
- Help maintain positive relationships with customers through various engagement strategies.
Learning and Development:
- Stay updated on the latest marketing trends and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions and seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Support the marketing team with any additional tasks or projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and a passion for marketing and branding.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Must have a current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Ability to talk on the phone extensively.
- Ability to bend, lift, pull and push at least 25 lbs.
