Benchmark Human Services has grown to become one of the most respected leaders in the country in the areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health. We work with people of all ages at home, at work, and in the community through residential programs, employment services, crisis response, day services and more.
We are starting a new program in Tulsa, OK that supports individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in our Crisis Support Homes. The focus of this program is to provide time-limited crisis services that support individuals with developmental disabilities in the community. The IDD Crisis Home is used as a measure of last resort for individuals undergoing an acute crisis that presents a substantial risk of imminent harm to self or others. The goal is to stabilize the individual through nursing and behavioral supports, on a time limited basis.
We are hiring a
Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide training to Extensive Supports Needs individuals in all identified areas and function as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Lead DSP will be responsible for the health and safety of individuals in the IDD Crisis Support Home

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Collect data and conduct certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments).
- Support and provide an example for the Direct Support Professionals.
- Implementing, not designing, the behavior plans designed by their supervisors.
- Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in the development and implementation of each client’s individual plans.
- Provide transportation to clients for daily activities and to and from Crisis Support Home
- Plan and participate directly in recreational, therapeutic, and training activities of the clients.
- Provide positive behavioral supports according to individual BSPs and respond to emergency situations as trained.
- Complete documentation as required by Benchmark and state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment by completing housekeeping duties, laundry, cooking etc.
- Monitor the general well-being of the clients served by implementing health care protocols and administering medications
- Present graphical summary of effectiveness of BSP to other DSP staff at all staff meetings.
- Ensuring the implementation, completion, and training of DSPs on data sheets
- Plan and participate directly in recreational, therapeutic and training activities of the individuals.
- Provide positive behavioral supports according to the behavior support plans and respond to emergency situations as trained.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of DBHDD Community Provider standards and organization policies and procedures
- Knowledge of health care privacy and confidentiality rules
- Knowledge of standard health care business practices
- Knowledge of Person-centered care and support for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at time of application.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities with a focus on behavioral services. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or The National Association for the Dually Diagnosed DSP (NADD-DSP) certification is preferred.
- Must be willing to flex schedule according to individuals’ needs.
